So my mom comes into town for 4 nights. The last time she was here, I got her hooked on Everquest II. Seriously hooked. So as she's traveling around the country for work, it's one more way to keep in touch and do something together.
Anyways, so she's here this last weekend and we've got our laptops set up more or less side by side and we're playing the game. Saturday night, we're running around Zek, killing this that and the other with a guildie friend of ours, working on a Heritage Quest. This goes on til 2am. Oy.
Sunday morning she comes over from the hotel and is telling me about Neriak while i just look at her blankly. Neriak?? Seems that last big download I did was a whole new area of the game. That's what I get for not actually reading the last Game Update announcement. Silly me! So I go in and roll a new charrie. I've tried the warrior classes - and I just don't enjoy them. I already have a druid and want something new, at least for me. So I roll a Dark Elf Necro. Not terribly original, but dang if FireOnyx ain't a blast to play!!! Mom rolled an Arasai Necro (I guess it'd be a Dark Fae). And she's having a blast too.
Also spent all evening Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in game. I'm up to level 17 already. *ouch*
The direct offshoot of this is two fold. My muse is back - and trying to figure out how to portray FireOnyx. That's the good side. The not so good side, is that I'm having so much fun wrecking havoc with my spider that I don't have time to actually do the art project I have in mind!!! Ack!!!! And tonight I have class.... *pout*
Though after last night, that spider will be lucky if he doesn't get drop kicked off the nearest ledge. He get's distracted by wisplings and won't listen to anything at that point. *grumbles*
Spiders!!!
No features this week - have almost 300 Deviations to go through, plus all the sundry messeges I haven't seen yet!
Check back for the next couple of artists!
